Your Weekly Spiritual Fitness WorkOut
1. With pen and paper, take at least 15 minutes somewhere you can relax and be uninterrupted.
2. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths, concentrating on the rise and the fall of your breath.
3. If you find you have lots of thoughts running through your mind, just silently say to yourself with each thought the word, "Thinking". This will help you gently detach
from your thoughts and connect with your awareness or consciousness.
4. Allow the word "Thinking" to fade gently away and begin to call up a memory of a time when you felt really good and at your best in life. It may be an activity or it may
be a state of being that you experienced. The important thing is that you allow a memory to present itself to you that brings you a good, warm feeling inside.
5. Connect with 3 or 4 qualities, (feelings, ways of being), you manifested at that time e.g. passion, peace, forgiveness, creativity, compassion. When you have these,
write them down.
6. Gently allow that memory to fade away and call up another memory of a different time when you felt really good and at your best. Try to get a very different kind of
experience that brought out different aspects of you.
7. Connect with 3 or 4 qualities, (feelings, ways of being), you manifested at that time e.g. passion, peace, forgiveness, creativity, compassion. When you have these,
write them down.
8. You should now have 7 or 8 qualities that are reflections of you at your best.
9. Write these out on a separate piece of paper and cut out the individual words so that you have 7 or 8 small slips of paper each with a different quality on it.
10. Place these in a bowl / basket near your bed and each morning for the next week, pick out one word and embody it throughout your day. As you bring out these, your
best qualities, throughout the week you will re-activate your best self and will begin to create a life that is an authentic expression of your highest truth.
